The original flavor of a N.Y. honky tonk sound mixed with clever lyrics and versatile playing has helped the band stay involved in many mainstream performing situations as well as specializing in country western themed events. The energetic live show has earned the band numerous awards and the privilege of playing for Country Royalty at Gracie Mansion for the 2005 Country Music Award nominees party.
The music has been called Cosmopolitan Country and at live shows has converted many non country listeners into instant fans. The unique interpretation of honky tonk music in both their original recordings and cover material has brought the band from the clubs to the big stage opening for country superstars Travis Tritt, Diamond Rio, Lee Ann Womack, and The Wreckers. When in Music City, Nashville the quartet has appeared in hot spotssuch as the famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, The Gibson Theater and The Bluegrass Inn. Prestigious events, corporate parties and songwriting nights are too long to list. They continue to be a popular draw for many event planners in The Big Apple.
Always working on new original material they keep an active performance schedule continuing to develop their craft with an exciting upgraded fresh show. The music has been sold to people from all over the world and the groups likeable manner compliment their musical talent.

These days if you are in New Jersey and the topic of country music comes up there is a good chance someone is going to mention "AFTER THE REIGN" Long considered "New Jersey's Premier Country Dance Band" AFTER THE REIGN has been playing modern country music for over 12 years.
In a state famous for the likes of Springsteen, Frank Sinatra and Bon Jovi AFTER THE REIGN has been famous for bringing the best of modern country to audiences that love it. Although based in Monmouth County New Jersey AFTER THE REIGN has played across the country opening for such artists as Diamond Rio, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels, Kevin Sharp, Neal McCoy, The Mavericks and Johnny Paycheck to name a few.
Still run by founding members Lead Singer Willie Kelly and Bassist Dave Burlett this six piece band delivers the best country music has to offer. Along with Kelly and Burlett the band also features "Secret Weapon" Bobby Grado on Steel Guitar and Mandolin, Hucklebird Herb Van Note on Drums, John Strevens on Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Banjo and Keys.
