Randy DavisNew York, New York...that is the destination of choice for all radio personalities.  Purveyors of sound, music, and personality...radio people are willing to move up and down the dial, hoping against all odds to make it to the big City.  So, when one makes it there, they’ve bucked great odds.  But, when one stays on the air in New York City for twenty-five years...well, that’s just...........Randy Davis.  And when one radio legend meets another, that’s Randy Davis on New York’s famed station, CBS-FM.

Randy Davis became one of New York’s most well known and well liked radio personalities. After a successful stint as PD/Morning show host at KNUS/Dallas, Randy moved to New York.  He spent 16 years with NBC Owned and Operated station, WYNY.  The first eight years of WYNY were as an Adult Contemporary station where Randy’s show was consistently rated #1...when the station flipped to a country Format, Randy Davis adapted, and soon became host of the highest rated mid-show in New York….doing “Country”! So much so, the Westwood One Radio Network hired Randy to host their weekly Country show “90's Country” from 1991-1996.

Randy earned his acting stripes on the CBS daytime soap “Guiding Light” from 1983-1986. According to Randy acting is a lot easier than radio…in acting you can always yell “Cut” in radio its always live and full speed ahead.

In 1996, the Country format left New York.  Adaptable and eager as ever, Randy Davis left too.  He and his family made the move to Tampa, Florida where Randy became the Morning Drive host for sign on station, WILV....Love songs, nothing but love songs.  But, a new format craze was sweeping the Country...Oldies...Jammin’ Oldies.  Randy’s station flipped its format, and Randy adjusted his style, as he stayed on as WFJO’s Morning Drive Personality.  But, New York was in withdrawal without Randy, and in 2000, the legendary CBS-FM brought Randy back to the New York City’s airwaves as their midday host. Randy also was heard on CBS O&O WNEW (Mix102.7) 2005-07.
